Carbon Steel Plates

ASTM A562/A562M covers manganese-titanium carbon steel plates intended for fusion-welded pressure vessels that will receive a glass lining or a diffused metallic coating. It is the product companion to ASME SA-562/SA-562M. Titanium is added to control carbon and support the coating process. This is not ordinary boiler carbon plate (A285 / A516), not high-strength manganese plate (A455), and not Mn-V-Ni layered-vessel plate (A225). SHH STEEL supplies A562 as mill-direct plate and dual-certifies ASME SA562 when the vessel must be stamped to ASME Section VIII. Fine-grain practice and the heat-treatment condition required by A562 / A20 are recorded on the mill certificate. Certificates are EN 10204 3.1, with 3.2 available on request.
