Carbon Steel Plates

ASME SA455 is the Code version of ASTM A455/A455M for high-strength manganese carbon steel plates used in fusion-welded boilers and pressure vessels. It is not fine-grain carbon plate (SA516 / A516), not manganese-silicon plate (SA299 / A299), and not quenched-and-tempered alloy plate (SA517 / A517). SHH STEEL supplies SA455 as mill-direct plate, dual-certified to ASTM A455 when the vessel must be stamped to ASME Section VIII. Typical delivery follows SA-20, with normalizing specified when required by thickness or the purchase order. Certificates are EN 10204 3.1, with 3.2 available on request.
